In recent times the Africans have embarked on the quest to find her identity, an identity that is not defined by the Eurocentric narrative, an identity not defined by gender and sexuality. There is a strong desire to know who we are and to be able to expressively share this knowledge with the rest of the world. In the quest to finding our identity, the African Studies Students’ Association birthed a journal that will guide and publish scholarly works on and around African societies. KUJUA,the journal of African Studies Students’ Association, Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan,derives from the Swahili word meaning inquisitiveness.
